We are looking for a key player to join our friendly team at Quantum as an Assistant. The successful candidate will need a clean driving licence as they will be assisting both on the road and in our busy warehouse. This is an important support role with varied duties across Quantum where no two days will be the same and tasks will be apportioned according to the daily business needs.
When driving the successful candidate with work closely with Goods In and the Sales team to ensure the delivery of products to our customers in an efficient and timely manner. Supporting the Warehouse, will involve a diverse range of tasks ensuring that the warehouse remains organised, runs efficiently and meets our health and safety standards. Both sides of the business require the Assistant to provide a strong customer service focus.

Key Responsibilities:
DRIVER
- Remain compliant with the traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Carry out daily checks to ensure that vehicles are clean, safe to drive and appropriate records are completed and maintained.
- Liaise closely with the sales and transport section to ensure orders are complete and delivered in line with our customers’ requirements.
- Prepare orders for delivery by processing requests, collating orders, packing boxes.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles with care and health and safety requirements.
- Deliver goods in a timely and efficient manner.
- Use a handheld device to evidence proof of delivery.
- Maintain a professional appearance, ensuring PPE and uniform is appropriate to the delivery.
WAREHOUSE
- Sort, stack and place warehouse items with a forklift truck, as directed by the Operations Manager.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks and vans with a forklift truck in line with health & safety procedures.
- Check in products/materials swiftly and professionally.
- Maintain inventory controls and prepare goods for delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and documents on all customer activities and discussions.
- Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded.
- Maintain warehouse and department tidiness/recycling as appropriate.
- Proactively make recommendations to the Operations Manager to help identify opportunities to update or improve procedures and standards.
- Complete any other reasonable duties as directed by the Operations Manager to aid business / department success.
- Assist the department with regular sequential stock counting.
- Adhere to Group Policies and Procedures.

- Adheres to and delivers the Group Values in all aspects of the role.
